Among the issues: Renter Motivations when moving, or not; Leasing issues and payment methods; maintenance performance;  communication between management and residents. AppFolio, who completed the survey and is a multifamily technology company focused on property management and asset management, shares the results to promote their products, so there is some bias. But in speaking with residents and seeing information from other sources, the survey’s conclusions ring true across the spectrum of what many renters want relative to their use of PropTech as a means to communicate with their property management company.
