Renters Want a Home

Zillow analyzes ‘shares’ and ‘saves’ on its digital platforms and has discovered that would-be renters who rack up counts in each of these categories are the most likely to be serious renters. Obviously, that makes total sense. Zillow has taken this data and translated it to the properties these serious renters are seeking. Taking it one step further, Zillow analyzed the favored properties to see if there were commonalities between the ‘liked’ properties. What renters are seeking, in order of importance per Zillow, are: off street parking; in unit laundries; turf area for pets; air filtration; and a finished basement (apparently in BTR units). Other data revealed in the survey is interesting and speaks to the changes that have occurred in renters likes and wants in 2024 vs. times past. Take a look.
